Job summary

The Christ College in Cincinnati, OH seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient examination and treatment. You will help maintain patient flow, record vital signs, review medical history, and ensure complete charts in the EMR.

Responsibilities include refilling meds and pre-authorizations, coordinating with pharmacies and insurers, scheduling, check-ins/outs, and basic clinical duties such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and cast removal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; MA program graduate preferred.
• 2–5 years MA or related clinical experience.
• Certified/Registered MA preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
• Maintain patient flow, document review, measure vital signs and update medical history; record in EMR.
• Prepare patient charts in EMR, ensure necessary reports and records are present.
• Refill meds and pre-authorize meds; coordinate with patient, pharmacy, and insurer as needed.
• Handle patient check-ins/outs, scheduling, MyChart responses, and pre-certifications for prescriptions/procedures.
• Operate EKG and cardiac monitors; perform phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
• Maintain safe, confidential environment and comply with legal requirements; protect patient information.
• All other job duties as assigned.
