Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in patient exams, chart preparation, and routine procedures in a fast-paced clinic. You will document reviews, measure vitals, manage EMR entries, assist with phlebotomy and EKGs, and coordinate patient flow across visits while maintaining confidentiality and safety.

Ideal applicants have 2–5 years MA experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with EMR, Outlook, Excel, and scheduling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate Degree and/or Certified/Registered MA preferred.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or previous Medical Assisting experience required.
• 2 to 5 years MA or other relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of physician.
• Maintains patient flow during clinic hours; reviews systems and measures vital signs.
• Records patient information in EMR and ensures charts are complete for visits.
• Prepares patient charts in EMR, scans documents, and reviews medical records.
• Refills medications, pre-authorizes meds, and coordinates with pharmacy/insurance as needed.
• Operates EKG and monitors, performs phlebotomy and basic procedures as assigned.
• Maintains a safe, confidential environment and adheres to legal responsibilities.
