Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient exams and treatments, maintain patient flow, and document reviews in the EMR. You will assist with chart preparation, acquire vital signs, and coordinate care across visits.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years MA experience, graduate of a Medical Assistant program, strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, EMR) and solid communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; MA program graduate or experience preferred.
• 2–5 years MA or relevant experience preferred.
• Strong computer and communication skills; proficient with EMR and scheduling systems.
• BLS certification required; Certified/Registered MA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Maintain patient flow and document reviews; update medical histories.
• Prepare EMR charts, review results, and retrieve records from external facilities.
• Refill medications and pre-authorize meds; manage samples and dispose expired meds.
• Take vitals and operate EKGs; perform phlebotomy and basic procedures as assigned.
• Maintain safe environment and confidentiality; comply with regulations.
