Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree and/or MA certification preferred.
• 2–5 years MA or related experience preferred; varied care settings (primary care, specialty, EMT).
• Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Excel, EMR and scheduling systems) required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow during clinic hours and document review of systems; record vitals and update patient histories.
• Prepare patient charts in EMR for visits by scanning, abstracting, and ensuring all records are present.
• Assist in training new employees and act as Super User for EMR as needed.
• Refill medications and pre-authorize medications, coordinating with patient, pharmacy, and insurance.
• Prepare treatment rooms, order supplies, and manage patient paperwork and pre-certifications.
