Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff with patient care and clinic operations.

You will assist in examinations, document in EMR, monitor vital signs, prepare charts, refill medications, manage scheduling, and help with phlebotomy and EKGs as needed. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; BLS preferred.

Experience in multiple care settings and proficiency with EMR and scheduling systems will be valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree and/or MA certification preferred.
• 2–5 years MA or relevant experience preferred; practice in different care settings (e.g., primary care, specialty) beneficial.
• Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Excel, EMR & scheduling systems) required; strong communication with patients, physicians, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Maintain patient flow, document review, and vital signs; update med history.
• Prepare EMR charts for visits; obtain and review test results and records.
• Refill medications and pre-authorize as needed; manage samples and room supplies.
• Handle calls, scheduling, check-in/out, and pre-certifications for prescriptions/procedures.
• Operate EKG and other diagnostics; assist with phlebotomy as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, confidential, compliant clinical environment.
