Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians with exam and treatment tasks and maintain clinical workflow in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will perform vitals, prepare charts in EMR, assist with EKGs and phlebotomy, and handle referrals and pre-certifications while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years MA experience, a HS diploma or MA certification, proficient with Outlook/Excel, and BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or MA certification preferred.
• 2–5 years MA or related experience preferred.
• Excellent computer skills with Outlook, Excel, EMR and scheduling systems.
• BLS certification required; Certified/Registered MA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow during clinic hours and document review of systems; measure vitals and update medical history.
• Prepare and review patient charts in EMR, including scanning and reviewing diagnostic test results and reports.
• Record patient information accurately in EMR; assist with training of new staff as needed.
• Refill medications and pre-authorize medications; communicate with patient, pharmacy, or insurer as needed.
• Obtain medical information from patients to facilitate medical decision making and respond to MyChart messages.
