Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient examinations and treatments in our clinic. You will assist with vital signs, document patient history, and maintain orderly charts in the EMR to ensure accurate, timely care.

You will also manage scheduling, patient communications, phlebotomy and basic procedures, while upholding safety, confidentiality, and compliance with clinical policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred; Medical Assistant program graduate preferred.
• 2–5 years MA or related experience preferred; practice in different care settings desired.
• Excellent computer skills with Outlook, EMR and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of physician.
• Maintains patient flow, documents review of systems, measures vital signs and updates medical history.
• Records patient information in EMR and prepares charts for visits.
• Refills medications and pre-authorizes; communicates with patient, pharmacy, or insurance.
• Obtains medical information, returns calls, and handles MyChart messages.
• Operates EKG, cardiac monitors, phlebotomy, and other assigned tasks.
• Maintains safe, confidential environment and complies with legal requirements.
