Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited MA program and externship, or MA internship.
• EMT or Paramedic training acceptable; CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Indirect work support, e.g., managing tasks.
• Performs moderate to complex gaps in care.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Support within scope with prior authorizations.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Quality control, e.g., lab logs, practice audits.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Transcribe patient exam information, diagnosis and plan into medical record.
