Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant II who supports exams, records, procedures, and testing, administers medications, and educates patients and caregivers.

You will coordinate care with providers, transcribe exam information into the medical record, and assist with prior authorizations, with a patient-centered, mission-driven culture across Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of MA program and externship or internship.
• EMT or Paramedic program experience is valued.
• Certification as Athletic Trainer is a plus.
• Valid CPR certification is required or relevant licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with examinations, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Transcribe patient information and plan into the medical record.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Assist with prior authorizations and communicate results to patients.
• Maintain lab logs and support practice audits.
