Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Medical Assistant to join our Georgia clinic. You will support providers with patient care, rooming, vitals, history taking, health maintenance, and basic lab duties in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential, along with proficient computer skills and EMR usage. Requirements include a high school diploma and completion of an accredited MA program or DD214 option; BLS may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training (DD214) in lieu of a formal MA program.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope and follows policies while providing patient care.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, history, health maintenance, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and lab duties (venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT).
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of care.
• Performs patient scheduling, referrals, and related duties as needed.
