Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and completed a Medical Assistant program or equivalent military clinical training.
• Basic life support certification and ability to perform routine and complex clinical tasks within MA scope.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice, follows policies and maintains competency.
• Performs rooming, vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings, and health maintenance.
• Assists provider or performs procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines per medication rights.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, and supply ordering; maintains clean, stocked areas.
• Cross-trained for duties across clinic specialties; effective teamwork and escalation.
• Delivers age-appropriate patient care and communicates clearly.
