Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support internal medicine and related clinics in Georgia and surrounding divisions. The role includes rooming, vitals, history taking, vaccines and lab duties, with cross-training across specialties. AHA BLS is required, and ongoing competency assessments are part of the job.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, typically starting at 7:00–7:30 AM, with an 8-hour day and a lunch break. Benefits and comprehensive compensation are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
• BLS must be obtained within 45 days unless exempt per department policy.

Responsabilités

• Room patients and perform vitals, medication reconciliation, medical history, screenings and health maintenance.
• Assist providers with procedures as ordered.
• Perform lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, and POCT; adhere to CLIA standards.
