Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or MA certification.
• Current BLS (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• EMR experience or aptitude to learn EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms according to policy.
• Prepare patients for examination; measure vitals (BP, pulse, weight, height).
• Assist clinicians with routine procedures and tests; provide pre-visit prep guidance.
• Update EMR with medical information and test results; verify demographics, meds, allergies, complaints.
• Reconcile medications and set up refills; discontinue inactive prescriptions.
• Order and perform point-of-care tests (strep, urine, HCG, glucose).
