Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination; takes and records vital signs; performs phlebotomy as needed; administers medications as directed by the Providers according to policy and procedure.
• Collects data contributing to assessment and care plans under direction of Licensed Nurse.
• Collects, processes, and submits laboratory specimens per policy.
• Communicates patient findings to Providers and Licensed Nurses using appropriate documentation.
• Document care accurately in the EPIC system.
• Handle front-d desk tasks like appointment scheduling and co-payment collection.
• Perform department-specific clinical duties (e.g., POCT, hearing/vision screenings).
• Maintain clean, stocked examination rooms and assist in general office duties.
• Develop positive relationships with patients and families while adhering to safety policies.
