Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help ensure a positive healthcare experience.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, recording histories and vitals, supporting exams, testing, and medication administration, plus patient education and care coordination across teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of approved MA program/externship/internship or EMT/Paramedic program; maintain CPR certification.
• MA Certification via CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA or active EMT/Paramedic license preferred.
• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred; 2+ years with clinical community-based experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vital signs and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing per directions.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
