Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver exceptional patient care. You’ll welcome patients, document histories and vitals, assist with exams and testing, and help coordinate care in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include administering medications, relaying test results, and educating patients and families to improve health outcomes, while contributing to quality improvement programs and care coordination.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred, or 2+ years in community clinic if MA program not completed.
• Completion of recognized MA program or externship/internship.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
