Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care to create a positive healthcare experience.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and MA training; EMT/Paramedic options are acceptable. Entry-level candidates encouraged with opportunities for growth in a patient-centered, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited MA program and externship/internship preferred.
• EMT or Paramedic training is acceptable; state Michigan license/credential as applicable.
• Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA etc.) is desirable.
• 0–1 year of clinical experience preferred; if MA program not completed, 2+ years of clinical support experience required.
• CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vitals, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
