Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in New Castle, DE is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient check-in, vitals, specimen collection, and clinician assistance in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or Medical Assisting Program, BLS, and preferably MA certification; on-site training and opportunities for growth are provided along with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire or within two weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance information.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Take vital signs and assist clinicians during examinations.
• Perform point-of-care tests as needed (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG).
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and front desk areas.
• Manage medical records and chart documentation.
