Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with MA-related credential or experience.
• Diploma from Medical Assistant Program.
• Minimum 1 year of medical assisting experience.
• Military Medic training or EMT-P training.
• Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, measure and record vital signs.
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures.
• Assist in examinations and carry out treatments and tests as ordered by physician.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms.
• Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum and perform routine lab tests.
• Manage and organize the medical office's inbox and communications.
• Oversee reception of incoming patient information and data gathering.
