Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant in San Jose to support clinicians and front-office duties. You will greet participants, take vital signs, prepare rooms, and assist with routine medical procedures under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• Certification by a medical assistant certifying organization approved by the state medical board.
• Two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
• Two (2)-year degree program in medical assistance.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare participants for appointments, including setting up exam rooms and checking in/out.
• Obtain an accurate history of illness from participants.
• Perform required pre-exam physical tests and document vital signs.
• Carry out general medical procedures as directed by a physician.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and maintain equipment.
