WelbeHealth in California is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers, nurses, and on-site specialists at our clinic. The role combines clinical duties with front-office responsibilities, including greeting participants, scheduling, and preparing exam rooms.

Qualifikationen

• Certification by a medical assistant certifying organization approved by the state medical board.
• Two years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
• Two-year degree program in medical assistance.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred

Aufgaben

• Prepare participants for appointments, including setting up exam rooms, checking in/out, and obtaining an accurate history of illness.
• Measure and document vital signs during pre-exam checks.
• Perform general medical procedures under physician supervision, such as dressing changes and suture removals.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform routine sterilization of medical and dental equipment.
• Maintain clinic logs and ensure exam rooms are stocked, sanitized, and prepped
