Job summary

WelbeHealth, LLC. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front-office needs at our Pasadena clinic.

You will assist providers, nurses, and on-site specialists, including taking vital signs and preparing exam rooms, while maintaining a compassionate focus on our senior participants. The role requires MA certification, 2 years of clinical experience with frail or elderly populations, a 2-year MA degree, phlebotomy, and CPR/First Aid certifications within 180 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Certification by a medical assistant certifying organization approved by the state medical board.
• Two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
• Two (2)-year degree program in medical assistance.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare participants for appointments, including setting up exam rooms and checking in/out.
• Obtain accurate patient history and document illness.
• Take vital signs and perform pre-exam physical tests.
• Assist with general medical procedures under physician supervision.
• Collect laboratory specimens and perform routine sterilization of equipment.
• Maintain clinic logs and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized.
