Job summary

McLaren is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant to support patient care across multiple clinics in Michigan. You will assist providers with examinations, take vital signs, administer injections and venipuncture, and help with clerical tasks to ensure efficient operations.

Preferred CMA or RMA credentials; EMR experience and prior medical office experience are valued. BLS certification within 6 months may be required for certain clinics. Sign-on bonus offered for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as a Medical Assistant or a Patient Care Tech.
• Or completion of one of the following programs: medical assistant, emergency medical technician, nurse assistant, licensed practical nurse, armed services medic, or patient care technician.
• For clinics with Rural Health Designation, BLS within 6 months of hire.
• Float positions may require travel between clinics.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care tasks and assists in examinations and treatment.
• Meets service excellence standards and communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Prepares examining rooms and stocks supplies.
• Documents interventions, vital signs, medications dispensed or prescribed in chart or system.
• Administers EKGs, PFTs, immunizations, medicines, phlebotomy as directed.
• Completes lab slips and referral forms; assists with gynecological exams and routine office visits.
