Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Pensacola. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care, escort patients, take vitals, draw blood, give injections, and support front-desk duties to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, graduation from an MA program, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, and referrals, check-in/check-out.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients as directed.
• Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement across eligible groups.
