Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in a primary care setting. You will support a physician, perform essential clinical tasks, and contribute to delivering an excellent patient experience at our on-site health centers.

The role requires MA certification or registration where applicable, CPR/BLS, and preferably some phlebotomy experience; 1 year of MA experience is preferred. Training and Take2 AI screening may be used as part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical information and gather updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, assist with procedures; work with labs for tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out, and related tasks.
• Document data in medical records per guidelines and communicate results to patients.
