Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Carmel, Indiana. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient-focused care and a positive guest experience within our value-based model.

The role combines clinical responsibilities with reception duties, supporting the full patient journey from check-in to treatment and follow-up, while assisting with labs, injections, and immunizations as ordered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration required for employment where required by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room; ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review patient medical information and update health data for provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, assist with procedures; coordinate with labs.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Partner with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate findings to patients as directed.
• Engage patients through outreach to improve engagement and adherence.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments and clinic operations.
