Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and an exceptional guest experience.

This hybrid role covers both front desk duties and clinical responsibilities, from patient check-in and vitals to injections, blood draws, and coordinating referrals. We value patient-first care and a collaborative environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as Medical Assistant; primary care preferred
• Graduation from MA program
• MA certification/registration preferred; required where applicable
• CPR/BLS certified at start date
• Phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked
• Review medical information and gather updated health data for the provider
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed
• Partner with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out
• Record data in medical records per guidelines
• Process test results and communicate with patients
• Outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment
