Job summary

Marathon Health is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team and work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience.

The role involves both front-d desk duties and clinical responsibilities, including vitals, injections, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures in a value-based primary care model. Excellent patient interaction is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program is required.
• National or state MA certification or registration is preferred/required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review previous medical information and update health records for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Partner with care team to develop patient plan of care and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Record data in the medical record according to guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients.
• Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
