Job summary

Marathon Health, LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and a welcoming guest experience.

The role blends reception duties with clinical responsibilities to support the full patient journey. The responsibilities include taking vitals, phlebotomy, injections, wound care, preparing medications, coordinating referrals, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, review health information, and inform the provider of updates.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Partner with care team to develop patient plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Record data in the medical record and communicate results to patients per instructions.
