Pediatrix is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations and enhance patient experience. Responsibilities include patient care, documentation, and assisting healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have a diploma from an accredited program, CPR certification, and a commitment to quality patient care.
The Medical Assistant performs both clinical and administrative duties that support efficient clinic flow, effective and safe clinic operations, and excellent patient experience. Responsibilities include taking medical histories, documenting vital signs, managing patient records, communicating with patients, and maintaining confidentiality. Responsibilities may vary based on state regulations.
Education: Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required. Certification required; if not certified, must obtain within 6 months to 1 year depending on state.
Experience: 1+ years in an office-based healthcare setting preferred.
Certifications: CPR certification required. Ability to follow universal precautions, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulations.
Travel: Minimum 50% travel, regularly to 4 of 8 locations.
