A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations and enhance patient experiences. The role involves clinical and administrative tasks, including patient communication, assisting healthcare providers, and maintaining medical records. Candidates must have a diploma from an accredited program and relevant certifications, with a preference for experience in an OB/GYN setting.
The Medical Assistant performs both clinical and administrative duties to support efficient clinic flow, effective and safe operations, and an excellent patient experience. Responsibilities include taking medical histories, documenting vital signs, updating medical records, communicating with patients, and maintaining confidentiality. Responsibilities may vary based on state regulations.
Education: Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required. Certification required; if not certified, must obtain within 6 months to 1 year depending on state laws.
Experience: At least 1 year in an OB/GYN setting preferred.
Certifications: CPR certification required. Ability to follow universal precautions, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulations. Must be willing to travel at least 50%, regularly to 4 of 8 locations.
