Qualifications

• Active Kansas EMT is required.
• Nursing student who has completed first semester of nursing skills or equivalent.
• Completed or enrolled in a pre-med/pre-professional program or surgical technologist program.
• BLS certification is required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Updates and files patient medical records and insurance forms.
• Takes medical histories and records vital signs.
• Explains procedures and prepares patients for examination while maintaining privacy.
• Collects laboratory specimens and sterilizes instruments.
• Assists with wound care and cast care and coordinates appointments.
• Performs patient education and ensures smooth clinic flow.
• Maintains patient safety and complies with privacy laws.
