Job summary

LMH Health in Kansas is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and health teams in a busy clinic. The role blends administrative tasks with clinical support, focusing on patient intake, vital signs, and coordination of care while upholding patient confidentiality.

Applicants should be enrolled in or have completed a MA program or related training, possess BLS, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Current or previous Kansas CNA; OR enrolled/completed MA program; OR active EMT.
• BLS certification required at hire; knowledge of patient privacy laws.
• Strong communication and ability to coordinate care in a clinic.

Responsibilities

• Update and file patient records; assist with insurance forms.
• Take histories and vital signs; document in electronic records.
• Explain procedures and prepare patients for exams while maintaining privacy.
• Collect specimens; assist with wound/cast care as needed.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate hospital and lab services.
• Support patient teaching on procedures and tests.
• Ensure smooth clinic flow and timely patient care.
