Job summary

LMH Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a primary care setting. The role combines administrative and clinical duties to manage patient flow, records, and care coordination.

Ideal candidates are actively enrolled in a Medical Assistant program or certified as a CNA/EMT with BLS, and willing to work Monday–Friday in a 5-day clinic operation. Join a team focused on healthy people, communities, and futures.

Qualifications

• Current or prior Kansas CNA or enrollment in Medical Assistant program.
• Active Kansas EMT or nursing student in early phase with skill checklists.
• Completion of pre-med/pre-professional programs and related skill assessments.
• Surgical technologist training with departmental skill check.
• BLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Update and file patient records and insurance forms.
• Take medical histories and record vitals; document electronically.
• Explain procedures and prep patients for exams.
• Collect laboratory specimens and sterilize instruments.
• Assist with wound/cast care and basic patient teaching.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals/labs.
• Maintain tidy, properly equipped treatment rooms.
• Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
• Assist with communications between patients, pharmacies, insurers.
• Perform other duties as assigned; maintain attendance.
