Charles River Community Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support the Medical Department with clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include taking medical histories, vital signs, managing patient flow, instrument prep, and assisting providers during exams and procedures.

The role requires 1–2 years of MA experience (or recent graduates), a high school diploma, BLS/CPR, and MA certification within 2 months if not already certified.

Qualifikationen

• 1–2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred; recent graduates will be considered.
• Bilingual with English/Spanish or English/Portuguese preferred.
• Must maintain current Medical Assistant certification. MA certification such as CCMA or CRMA within 2 months if not certified at hire.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate unit flow and monitor waiting area.
• Record patient history and vital signs for adults and children.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care tests including INR, A1C, HCG, Hb, Lipids, HIV.
• Prepare specimens and transport to outside lab; provide lab coverage.
• Assist Providers during examinations and procedures as needed.
• Maintain patient education and referral information; ensure forms are completed.
