Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and non-clinical patient services. You will take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow under healthcare providers’ direction.

The role requires 1–2 years of MA experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent (Assoc. Degree in Medical Assisting preferred), and BLS certification. CMA credentials are a plus; onsite work with a commitment to patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate’s Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1–2 years direct MA experience or medical field work required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CMA/HC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and vital signs.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment for providers.
• Record patient history and vital data in medical records.
• Perform general office duties and act as liaison with departments.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare rooms, keep supplies stocked and sterilize instruments.
