Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Assistant to support healthcare teams on site at 340 Wood Road. The role includes taking vital signs, assisting with patient flow, and coordinating with physicians and nursing staff to ensure efficient care.

The position requires 1–2 years of MA experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's preferred), and BLS/ CMA certifications where applicable. Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency with EHR systems are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.
• BLS Certification and National CMA certification preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.

Responsabilités

• Assist junior Medical Assistants with onboarding and day-to-day responsibilities.
• Show patients to examination rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients, record vital signs and measurements.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions; provide educational materials.
• Perform general office duties: answer phones, take dictation, complete insurance forms, and liaise with other departments.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens, log them, and prepare for testing; perform phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates; provide immunizations where certified.
• Support quality initiatives such as two patient identifiers and hand hygiene.
