Charles River Community Health in Boston, MA is hiring a Primary Care Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced primary care setting. You will take histories, vital signs, manage patient flow, prepare instruments, perform basic in-room procedures, and assist with vaccinations and lab specimens under supervision.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential. Qualifications include 1–2 years MA experience or recent graduates, a High School Diploma, BLS/CPR, and MA certification;

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred or recent graduates.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS or CPR Certification required.
• Must maintain MA certification (CCMA/CRMA) within 2 months if not certified at hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit flow and monitor waiting area.
• Escort patients to examination room and record vital signs.
• Perform and mount EKGs, and other routine procedures.
• Obtain samples and run basic point-of-care tests; transport to outside lab as needed.
• Assist with vaccinations and maintain vaccine documentation.
• Provide patient education and follow-up communications.
• Support training for students and interns when requested.
• Work collaboratively with health center staff to meet accreditation requirements.
