Job summary

Meridian Health Services in Muncie, IN is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support patient care across visits. You will guide patients, prepare exam rooms, take vitals and assist providers with exams and procedures, ensuring smooth clinic flow.

Responsibilities include phone triage, lab and records management, infection control, telehealth support, and confidential documentation. CMA/NCMA/CCMA or RMA certification is preferred and experience with clinical tasks is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates preferred.
• Certification as Medical Assistant preferred (CMA/NCMA/CCMA or RMA).
• 6–12 months of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through visits and prepare them for provider assessments.
• Take vitals, prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments and maintain supplies.
• Support providers with exams, minor procedures and patient documentation.
• Perform phone triage, manage labs and records and follow infection control protocols.
• Conduct PHQ-9 and GAD-7 screenings and assist with telehealth.
• Prepare medications, maintain certifications and protect patient confidentiality.
• Complete daily/weekly tasks, attend meetings and uphold OSHACLIA standards.
