Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking compassionate individuals to join our outpatient clinic team in Muncie. You will room patients, support providers during visits, and manage patient messages and prior authorizations while maintaining Cerner documentation and medical records.

The role involves phlebotomy/POCT, administrative duties, and collaboration with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care. CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certifications and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC) required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA and ADA.
• ICD-10 and CPT coding knowledge required.
• TB validation preferred within 6 months of hire.
• Basic math and accurate data entry skills.
• Graduation from MA program preferred.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and support providers during clinic visits.
• Manage patient messages, paperwork, and prior authorizations.
• Assist with clinical and administrative duties.
• Rooming patients and completing intake.
• Assist providers with patient care.
• Document in Cerner.
• Phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
• Process prior authorizations.
• Scan and maintain medical records.
• Prepare exam rooms and support clinic workflow.
