Job summary

Meridian Health Services in Muncie, IN, is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support pediatric primary care. You will guide patients, take vitals, prepare exam rooms, and assist with procedures, telehealth, and documentation.

Ideal candidates have MA program graduation, HS diploma, and 6–12 months of clinical experience. Certification as CMA/NCMA/CCMA/RMA is preferred, with opportunities for professional development and advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• High school diploma or equivalency required; associates degree preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred (CMA, NCMA, CCMA, or RMA).
• 6–12 months of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through visits and prepare them for provider assessments.
• Take vitals, prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain supplies.
• Support providers with exams, minor procedures, and patient documentation.
• Perform phone triage, manage labs and records, and follow infection-control protocols.
• Conduct screenings (PHQ-9, Edinburgh, GAD-7) and assist with telehealth.
• Prepare medications, maintain certifications, and protect patient confidentiality.
• Complete daily-weekly tasks, attend meetings, and uphold OSHA/CLIA standards.
