Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an MA-related program or equivalent experience.
• MA externship/internship or EMT/Paramedic training is preferred.
• Current CPR certification and Michigan eligibility are desirable.
• 0–1 year clinical experience; 2+ years in community clinics acceptable with testing.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments and care.
• Document histories, vital signs, and health information accurately.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients and families.
• Provide patient education and coordinate care across teams.
• Support quality improvement and disease management activities.
