Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic. You will escort patients, take vitals, perform EKGs and phlebotomy, and assist with examinations under RN supervision.

Required are a High School Diploma or equivalent, current BLS/Heart Saver certification, and MA credential approved by the MA Department of Health. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available and details are confirmed during the interview.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS/Heart Saver certification from the American Heart Association and MA credentialing within specified timelines.
• Credentialing must be approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care tests per clinic standards.
• Prepare and administer non-intravenous injections as directed.
• Assist in routine physical examinations and monitor patient progress.
• Review laboratory results and alert physicians to abnormal findings.
