Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS/Heart Saver certification from the American Heart Association; obtain within 3 months if not available at hire.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to examination rooms and records vitals such as blood pressure and temperature.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests per clinic standards.
• Assists in injections as directed within scope of practice.
• Maintains patient rooms, supplies, and medical records; prepares equipment as required.
• Coordinates with insurers for eligibility, pre-authorizations, and handles co-pay collections.
