Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA seeks a Medical Assistant II to provide patient care under RN supervision. Duties include vitals, EKG, phlebotomy, injections, and assisting with exams in a busy clinic.

Non-exempt, Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm. A $3,000 sign-on bonus may be available; final offer varies by experience and internal equity. UMass Memorial Health values respect and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS or Heart Saver certification; obtain within 3 months of hire if not present.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by the MA Department of Health within 1 year from hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy and Point of Care tests.
• Administer non-intravenous injections as directed.
• Assist in routine physical examinations or clinical procedures.
• Review laboratory results and flag abnormal findings for physicians.
