Formación

• One year of Medical Assisting or direct clinical patient care experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required. Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA credentials.
• Recent graduates must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment or within one year of hire if already employed as MA.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule and manage patient appointments.
• Check-in and check-out patients; verify demographics.
• Enter charges and payments; collect co-pays and balances.
• Answer telephone and handle patient communications.
• Assist nursing staff and perform selected administrative duties.
• May collect patient specimens and take histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms; assist with minor procedures.
• Read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures.
