Job summary

Centennial Heart is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will prepare patients for exams, take histories and vital signs, and support clinicians with injections, lab work and minor procedures in a fast-paced practice.

Responsibilities include maintaining exam rooms, scheduling, patient data entry, and referral coordination. One year of MA experience and CMA/RMA/CCMA or equivalent certification are required; certification within 60 days if newly trained.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Certification required: CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA or ABR-OE credentials; or eligible to certify within 60 days of employment; or candidates with one year of MA experience must obtain certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment including sterilization.
• Perform injections, assist with labs, and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer calls, screen referrals, schedule appointments, and enter data; manage day-to-day clinic duties.
