Job summary

Aurora Denver Cardiology Associates is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to provide clinical support and patient care in a fast-paced cardiology practice. You will schedule visits, perform frontline patient interactions, and assist the nursing team with procedures.

The role requires MA certification and at least one year of direct patient care experience. Benefits and a supportive team environment are offered. This position is based in Aurora, Colorado, with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA) or must obtain within 60 days of employment.
• Candidates with one year of MA experience who do not have certification must obtain certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage patient appointments.
• Check-in and check-out patients.
• Enter charges and payments.
• Verify insurance and demographics.
• Collect co-pays and balances.
• Assist nursing staff and perform selected admin duties.
• May collect patient specimens and take histories and vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with minor procedures.
• Read and follow Physician Services policies and code of conduct.
• Coordinate care with external providers as needed.
