Job summary

HealthONE Pediatric Cardiology is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant in Denver, CO. You will provide clinical support to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care in a busy practice.

Responsibilities include scheduling, patient check-in/out, insurance verification, and assisting with procedures. Certification is required within 60 days for recent grads or within one year of hire for those already licensed. No on-call, weekends, nights, or holidays.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• Medical Assistant Certification required (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials acceptable).
• Recent graduates must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment or within one year of hire date if already employed.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and cancel patient appointments.
• Check-in and check-out patients.
• Enter charges and payments.
• Answer the telephone and verify patient insurance/demographics.
• Collect co-pays/coinsurance and patient balances.
• Assist nursing staff and perform selected administrative duties.
