Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAAHP or ABHES-accredited medical assistant program.
• Certification within one year of hire: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CMA (AAMA), CCMA, NRCMA, NPCE MA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in Windows, web navigation, email, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider direction.
• Prepare and organize patient charts and ensure documentation is complete.
• Schedule procedures, labs, X-rays, and surgeries; inform patients about plans.
• Coordinate physician schedules and insurance pre-certifications.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to standards and policies.
• Educate patients and families; promote evidence-based nursing practices.
